Ready for a BIG CRUNCH?

 

Here is a list of club updates:

 

1. Tomorrow: come for the membership survey workshop. This workshop will be instrumental in helping the club develop a new strategic plan so your participation is appreciated. Afterwards, stay for the BIG CRUNCH photo-op.

 

2. Sue Murray will be stepping down as chair of the Edith Cavell committee. We all owe Sue a round of applause for leading this initiative for 12 years. This is a critically important program that we as rotarians must continue. A chair (or chairs) is needed. Please consider whether you are able to take on this role. It is a very big comittment. But I am sure Sue will tell you that it is also very rewarding.

 

3. RLI In-Person is being offered in Fredericton on April 20, 2024. Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 are all being offered. If you have questions, please contact: rliatlanticreg@gmail.com

 

4. March is Rotary's Water, Sanitation & Hygiene month. Our International Committee supports this important topic through its involvement with the water cooler project in Aruba. Is there something we can be doing on a local level too?

 

5. District 7815's district conference is being held in Saint Pierre et Miquelon from June 14-16th. Karla McLean has offered to take a lead on researching options for group travel. If you are interested in attending, please let her know at your earliest convenience: the longer anyone waits, the tougher (and more costly) it will be to book.

 

6. Non-club-related honourable mentions:

 

      - April 4th is the Rotary Club of Moncton's second annual "Spring Into Art Auction" at Legends Restaurant (7pm). Enjoy the food and wine while bidding on works of art in support of YWCA's mission of hope, equity, and inclusivity.

 

7. Please mark these dates in your calendars:

 

- March 15, 2024: St. Patrick's Day celebration at Old Triangle. Please let Sandy Mollins know if you plan to attend.

 

- April 19, 2024: Ticket Draw.

 

- April 20, 2024: Rotary Leadership Institute Levels 1, 2, and 3 in Fredericton.

 

- May 25-29, 2024: Rotary International Convention in Singapore.

 

- June 1, 2024: Dragon Boat Festival.

 

- June 14-16, 2024: District Conference is in St. Pierre & Miquelon. 

 

- June 20-23, 2024: Ribfest 2024 at Riverfront Park. This is an all-hands-on deck event for our club and you are asked to reserve some time in your calendars so that you can volunteer.
