Well my presidential year is coming to an end. A lot of ups and downs for sure, but Ribfest was definitely up. While the results were not as impressive as in 2019, we will still make about $50,000.
I must mention the members who worked so hard ALL weekend to make it work:
Sue Murray, Don Botten, Nigel Bayliss, Sandy Mollins, Richard Jardine, Ian Franklin, Juergen Weiland, Greg Turner. Many other members worked many hours as well.
However, next year we will need more members involved and more support from the charities that benefit from the funds raised.
I have to thank the board and other committee members for their diligence and support throughout the year. It was an honour to be asked to repeat and am happy that I could contribute.
We should also be proud that once again our club has sent one of our star members to be District Governor. That you Darren, great job!!
Please try to attend the July 8 meeting as Juergen will kickoff his presidential year at that meeting.
Wishing you all a fine Canada weekend!
